In the Donetsk region, over 1,100 hectares of forest are burning due to Russian shelling

In the Lyman region, rescuers, together with forestry workers, continue to extinguish large-scale forest fires. They were caused by enemy shelling. The fire has engulfed over 1,100 hectares of forest and grassy ground. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region. The fire also damaged more than 79 private homes. “As of July 31, eight ignition centers remain – the liquidation is ongoing. Rescuers of the Donetsk region are conducting a detour of the territories, monitoring, and deploying forces and equipment,” the post says. Pyrotechnic units were involved in extinguishing the fire, which is examining the area for explosives.
