In the Kharkiv region, sappers seized about 1,000 explosive devices in a week.
In the Kharkiv region, about half of the agricultural land is considered mined.
This was stated by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, on August 13.
“About half of the agricultural land is considered mined. This is about 600 thousand hectares of land. This does not include forests, forest belts and all other household properties, etc.,” the head of the regional military administration said.
He added that over the past week (September 4-10), 256 hectares of territory were demined, on which about 1,000 explosive devices were eliminated.
“This indicates a continuous and dense minefield. This is not a theory, this is sad statistics, sad data. Over the past week, three civilians were blown up by explosive objects,” Sinegubov added.
