On August 12, the Russian army again attacked Kherson and settlements in the Kherson and Berislavskyі districts. The Russians fired artillery, mortars, multiple launch rocket systems, aircraft, and UAVs at peaceful residential areas.
The following cities were affected by Russian fire: Kherson, Antonivka, Stanislav, Kizomys, Bilozerka, Prydniprovske, Komyshany, Molodizhne, Shyroka Balka, Sofiyivka, Ponyativka, Dniprovske, Mykilske, Berehove, Sadovoe, Berislav, Zolota Balka, Shlyakhove, Krupytsia, Tomarine.
An apartment building and five private houses, a medical facility, an administrative building, a supermarket, a police service car and four civilian cars, a garage, and a cell tower were damaged.
Russian troops shelled Molodizhne with artillery. A 59-year-old local resident was injured. Police took him to the hospital with a mine-explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to the lower back.
In Shyroka Balka, a 58-year-old woman died as a result of shelling in her own yard.
In the evening, Russian aircraft dropped two guided bombs on the territory of the Kherson community.
Throughout August 12, the Russians struck Antonivka with artillery, mortars, and multiple rocket launcher systems.
Stanislav was also under massive attack by Russian FPV drones and artillery.
In Komyshany, the Russians struck with an FPV drone private house, which was damaged. Another house and a car were damaged as a result of ammunition drops from drones.
In Beryslav, a garage and a car were damaged as a result of an attack by FPV drones.
In Shlyakhovo, an FPV drone strike caused a fire in dry vegetation.
Two residential buildings and a car in Belozerka were damaged due to the dropping of explosives from a UAV.
In the afternoon, in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson, Russian military personnel attacked a 26-year-old woman with a drone. After going to the hospital, she was diagnosed with an explosive injury and concussion. The car was damaged.
Russian military personnel fired artillery at residential areas. A private house was damaged.
The city center was also under artillery fire. Enemy shells damaged a medical facility, an apartment building, an administrative building, a supermarket, and a police car.
All relevant services were working at the sites of the Russian attacks.
For 12 August, the police responded to 386 applications and reports from citizens about criminal offenses and other events. 24 proceedings were opened under Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
