Dnipropetrovsk region under attack: industrial facilities and high-rise buildings damaged

On the evening of August 17, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, reported that Russian attacks on the region had intensified during the day. The Russians used artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and drones, striking settlements and critical infrastructure.

“During the day, dozens of attacks left behind damage to houses, industrial facilities and transport infrastructure. People suffered psychological trauma, and local services quickly eliminated the fire and the consequences of the shelling,” Serhiy Lysak noted.

Situation in Nikopol district

Russians attacked the Nikopol region with FPV drones and artillery.

An industrial enterprise, four high-rise buildings, about five private houses, outbuildings and a garage were damaged.

The fire affected a passenger car and a power line.

Dry grass was burning, the fire was quickly contained.

Shelling in other areas of the Dnipropetrovsk region

Pokrovska community (Sinelnykyvschyna): Russians used MLRS, cars and a garage were damaged.

Mezhivska community: drones hit.

Novopavlivska community: a guided bomb hit, infrastructure was damaged.

Local services responded to each incident promptly, ensuring that fires were extinguished and damage to civilian objects was minimized.
