On August 15, Russian troops carried out massive strikes on peaceful settlements in Zaporizhzhia district. As a result of the attack, 27 houses were destroyed, a 64-year-old man was injured, according to the Zaporizhzhia region police.
On August 15, the Russians: used 293 drones (mostly FPV); carried out 125 artillery shells; carried out 7 airstrikes; used MLRS 6 times.
In the Polohivskyi district, a 64-year-old man was injured by a drone attack while riding a bicycle.
The following villages were under fire: Hryhorivka, Bilenke, Plavni, Vasylivka, Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, Malynivka, Vasynivka, Shcherbaki, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Bilogirya, Novoandreivka, Charivne and Preobrazhenka.
The police recorded 27 facts of destruction: residential buildings, apartments and outbuildings were damaged.
Police investigators and the Security Service of Ukraine are documenting the consequences of the strikes. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – war crimes.
In addition, police evacuated five elderly people from the Vasylivskyi district (three women and two men aged 68–74).
Police once again urge residents of the region to leave for safe places.
