On the night of August 18, the Russian military launched two strikes on the Industrial District of Kharkiv. One of the hits hit an apartment building. The number of injured is already in the dozens.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the Kharkiv Regional Police and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

On August 17, at around 10:50 p.m., Russian troops launched a missile strike on the Industrial District of Kharkiv. The type of missile is currently being determined.

The strike hit an open area between apartment buildings, and more than a thousand windows were broken in nearby buildings.

11 people were injured, including a 44-year-old man, nine women aged 21 to 82, and a 13-year-old girl. One of the women was diagnosed with a bruised coccyx, the others with an acute stress reaction.

A few hours later, on August 18 at around 04:50, the Russians attacked the Industrial District with the Geran-2 UAV. Some of the drones hit an apartment building, and two more hit the ground.

Fires broke out in the apartments on the first, third, and fifth floors of the building. Collapses and collapses were also recorded there.

Five people died, including a 1.5-year-old girl, a 16-year-old boy, a 45-year-old man, and a 55-year-old woman. Another 18 people were injured to varying degrees, some were hospitalized. Among the injured were 6 and 10-year-old boys, as well as two teenagers.

Five people are considered missing. Preliminary reports suggest they may be under the rubble. The search and rescue operation is ongoing.
