Russia attacked Chornomorsk: energy infrastructure damaged

Thousands of people were left without electricity due to the Russian strike.

On the night of August 31, Russia launched a massive drone strike on Chornomorsk in the Odessa region. The energy infrastructure was damaged. This was reported by the head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper: “As a result of the strike, there is damage to the energy infrastructure. Currently, more than 29 thousand subscribers are without electricity. Restoration work has already begun. Critical infrastructure is powered by generators.”

The Russian strike damaged private homes and administrative buildings. One person is known to have been injured.

“Fires broke out in some places, which were quickly extinguished by rescuers. All authorized services are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack. Law enforcement officers are documenting another crime committed by Russians against the civilian population of the Odessa region,” Kiper concluded.
