On August 30, Russian troops shelled the building of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, which had been destroyed by air strikes even earlier.
As a result of the impact, a fire broke out in a building on Nezalezhnosti Avenue. The fire lasted for almost half a day – it was only extinguished on the morning of August 31.
According to Ruslan Mykhaylevskiy, an officer of the Kherson Defense Forces, the fire started at around 4:00 PM and spread to the destroyed structures of the administrative building.
No injuries were reported.
