Damaged houses, cars and medical facilities: consequences of shelling of Kherson region on August 31

On August 31, Russian troops shelled the right bank of Kherson region with artillery, mortars and UAVs.

4 apartment buildings and 14 private houses, 2 medical facilities, an administrative building, a police car and 5 civilian cars, a garage were damaged. The press service of the National Police of Kherson region reported on the consequences of the Russian shelling.

In the morning, Russian troops carried out artillery shelling of Belozerka. A 44-year-old man and a 56-year-old woman received mine-explosive injuries and contusions. Four private houses were damaged in the village.

At night, the Russian army opened artillery fire on the Central district of Kherson. 10 private houses, an administrative building, and a car were damaged. Two men aged 28 and 37 suffered mine and blast injuries and concussions.

In the morning, shelling resumed. The territories of medical institutions and residential buildings were under attack. Eight local residents were injured. A 64-year-old woman and seven men aged 36 to 69 suffered mine and blast injuries, head injuries, concussions and shrapnel wounds. Two medical institutions, a building of an educational institution previously damaged by shelling, three apartment buildings, and two cars were damaged.

In the evening, the Russians dropped an incendiary munition from a drone on an administrative building damaged by previous shelling. The attack caused a fire.

A 77-year-old woman who was injured as a result of shelling on the night of August 31 sought medical help. She was diagnosed with a mine and blast injury, concussion and concussion.

In the Dnipro district, enemy shelling damaged an apartment building and killed a woman. A civilian car was damaged in a drone attack.

While patrolling residential areas, Russian servicemen dropped explosives from a UAV on a patrol police vehicle. As a result of the impact, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree. Three police officers aged 23, 25 and 42 were injured. They suffered mine-explosive injuries, concussions, contusions, bruises, and abrasions. The vehicle was damaged.

On August 31, the regional police opened six proceedings under Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
