On September 22, Russians hit a multi-storey building with MLRS in Nikopol, where families with children and the elderly live.

The humanitarian mission “Proliska” arrived at the site of the shelling on the morning of September 22 to provide assistance from UNHCR Ukraine – the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine. Materials for emergency repairs of damaged housing and non-food items of primary necessity to improve living conditions were provided to 28 families.

During the distribution of humanitarian aid, psychologists provided 2 basic emotional support sessions, 6 information consultations, and 9 psychoeducation sessions to raise awareness about psychological health. The affected people were interviewed about the use of self-soothing techniques, physical grounding, and breathing exercises.

The security situation in the city remains tense. But despite the daily threats, most residents remain in their homes, – says “Proliska”.
