As of September 25, 1,599 cultural heritage monuments and 2,415 cultural infrastructure facilities have been destroyed or damaged as a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
According to the Ministry of Culture, destruction was recorded in 18 regions and 326 territorial communities.
Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv are among the regions that suffered the greatest losses – 154 damaged monuments are here.
In total, among the damaged cultural heritage facilities, 149 have the status of national importance, 1,300 are local, and 150 have just been discovered.
Ukraine’s cultural infrastructure has suffered even more: 491 facilities have been completely destroyed.
Clubs (1,175), libraries (848), and art education facilities (184) have suffered the most.
In Kyiv, one film studio was among the damaged facilities. The exact amount of destruction in the occupied regions (in particular, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kherson) remains unknown.
