The Russian army used drones to shell railway infrastructure and an energy facility in Poltava. Trains to Lviv and Kharkiv were delayed due to the attack. Some of the townspeople and residents of nearby villages were left without electricity.
This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
In Poltava, a locomotive depot, a power supply distance, and traction substations were attacked. Administrative and warehouse premises, rolling stock were damaged.
Due to the attack, trains on the Kharkiv-Lviv, Lviv-Kharkiv, and Kramatorsk-Lviv routes were delayed. They resumed their movement.
Due to damage to the energy facility, 28 legal entities and 1,070 household consumers were left without electricity. In addition, fragments of drones fell and damaged a private house. In all cases, there were no casualties, wrote the acting head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Kohut.
Fires broke out as a result of the hit. 64 rescuers extinguished the fire. A fire train of Ukrzaliznytsia was also involved, the State Emergency Service was notified.
