At least 45 residential buildings damaged in nighttime Russian attack in Kushugum near Zaporizhzhia

On the night of October 8, the Russian army covered the Kushugum community near Zaporizhzhia with fire. Shells damaged about 45 private houses, shops, supermarkets and municipal equipment. This was reported by the head of the community, Volodymyr Sosunovskyі, on the village council’s website

The fire was opened in the evening from the Uragan rocket systems. In total, 32 explosions were heard in the center of the village. Part of the village was left without electricity.

At 10:50 p.m. on October 8, there was a volley of incoming fire. There were a total of 32 explosions from the Uragan MLRS. More than 45 residential buildings were damaged, as well as shops and supermarkets. All the affected objects are civilian infrastructure. New equipment was also destroyed: two garbage trucks, a sewage truck, and a tractor. These are new machines that served the entire territory of the community,” said Volodymyr Sosunovsky.

According to him, the arrival was also in the village of Malokaterynivka. The cultural center was destroyed by FPV drones.

Representatives of volunteer organizations are working on the site, providing the affected residents with tarpaulin, OSB, and slate to eliminate the consequences of the shelling.
