The Kharkiv region continues to eliminate the consequences of a massive Russian attack on energy and gas infrastructure, 400 subscribers remain without gas.
This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov: “The Russians began attacking the Kharkiv region at approximately 11:00 p.m. on October 15, we recorded the first strikes by “Shakheds”. The shelling continued all night. Strikes were also recorded at 7 a.m. on October 16. 12 missiles, 56 “Shakheds” – on critical infrastructure: power grids, power substations, gas production, gas infrastructure. The strikes were carried out on the Bogodukhiv, Lozov, Izyum districts. In addition, the Russians used double strikes: they struck when the SES and other services were already working on the spot. And the last strikes were at 11 a.m. on the Lozov district,” said Synegubov. According to him, as a result of the strikes, about 7 thousand subscribers were initially cut off from electricity in the Lozov district. The accident was eliminated, but during the repeated shelling, the power outage occurred again.
“The power supply has been fully restored. Regarding gas supply: 400 subscribers are currently disconnected. We plan to carry out repair work and fully restore gas supply within 24 hours. This is provided that there are no repeated strikes, such a risk, unfortunately, remains,” said Sinegubov.
According to him, employees of critical enterprises were injured in the past 24 hours.
