Firefighters battled the fire for almost a day after the missile strike on Kyiv — State Emergency Service of Ukraine

The fires that broke out in Kyiv early in the morning of October 25 as a result of the Russian missile strike on the capital were finally brought under control by rescuers only at the end of the day. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that as of 23:30 on October 25, the fires in the Desnyanskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital caused by the Russian strike had been completely extinguished.

The State Emergency Service also says that rescuers continue to work on the ground — clearing rubble and pouring structures to prevent re-ignition.

Rescuers note that significant forces and resources of the State Emergency Service were involved in the work — 289 specialists and 66 units of equipment worked continuously on the ground.

The number of dead and injured in Kyiv as a result of the Russian missile attack has increased.

Just a few hours after rescuers had dealt with the fires from the missile strike, the capital was again attacked from the air.
