1,358 civilians injured by explosive devices in Ukraine since February 2022

In Ukraine, since the start of the full-scale war with the Russian Federation, a total of 1,358 people have been injured by explosive devices, 380 of whom died.

This was reported by the Communications Department of the National Police of Ukraine: “Ukraine remains one of the countries most contaminated with explosive devices in the world. According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022 to November 10, 2025, 380 people died from the effects of explosive devices, including 21 children, and 978 citizens were injured, including 116 children.”

The State Emergency Service, for its part, stated that people should only travel on proven roads, not go out on ice and not allow children to play near water bodies, destroyed bridges and damaged houses, in forests and fields.

As of early October 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine stated that 1,330 people were injured by mines in the country during the full-scale war.
