Rocket strike on apartment building in Ternopil: casualties

In Ternopil, residential buildings and other buildings were damaged during a rocket attack on November 19. Rescuers are working at the scene, two people are known to have died and several injured.

According to Ternopil chairman Serhiy Nadal, the Russians launched rockets and “shaheeds” in the city, damaging buildings and apartment buildings and injuring people.

The Ternopil Regional Military Administration reported that residential buildings were hit and that teams of the State Emergency Service and emergency medical services were working at the scene. Local residents are clearing rubble at the scene of the destruction. Two people are known to have died.

A fire broke out in the destroyed building, and thick smoke is rising over the area. Residents of the damaged building said that the impact occurred between the sixth and eighth floors, and that children were on the fifth floor at the time of the explosion.

On November 19, explosions were heard in Ternopil as a result of a rocket attack, the first of which was heard at 6:30.
