On November 24, the Russian army launched an artillery strike on Kherson, during which an associate professor of the Department of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of the Kherson National Technical University, a candidate of economic sciences, Marina Guba, was killed. This was reported by the head of the Kherson regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin.
As the head of the military administration noted, the tragedy occurred in the Dnipro district of the city – the Russians purposefully covered residential buildings with fire, which caused the windows, facades, and roofs of the dwellings to be shattered. One of the Russian shells killed an elderly Kherson woman who was walking down the street.
“This morning in Kherson, Russians killed Maryna Guba, an associate professor at the Department of Public Administration and Local Self-Government of the Kherson National Technical University. This is a great loss for the educational community of the Kherson region. Colleagues remember her as an intellectual, responsible, warm and very sincere person… Eternal and bright memory!” – Prokudin emphasized. According to the official, Guba raised more than one generation of specialists who are still working on the development and restoration of the Kherson region today.
