The Russians have destroyed a large lyceum in Mezhova in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The Russians dropped a guided bomb on the educational institution during an attack on the region on the night of November 29.
This was reported by the humanitarian policy department of the Dnipro City Council.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian troops carried out an airstrike on Mezhova Lyceum No. 1. According to the humanitarian policy department of the Dnipro City Council, about 450 children were receiving education within the walls of the institution.
“A place where about 450 children studied every day, discovered the world for themselves, met friends, dreamed and gained knowledge… is now completely destroyed. This is not just a building. This is the destruction of the future, of all children’s dreams and hopes. The Russian Federation is destroying not only walls, but also those small worlds where our future is growing,” the city council reported.
Local authorities report that it will be impossible to restore the lyceum in its previous form – the destruction is critical.
The educational process for students will be temporarily transferred to a distance format or alternative community facilities.
The region notes: this is far from the first Russian attack on educational institutions in the Dnipropetrovsk region in the last year.
On the evening of November 28, powerful explosions were heard in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
