148 residential buildings damaged in Kharkiv as a result of shelling in November

In November, 148 residential buildings in Kharkiv were damaged as a result of Russian attacks.

This was reported by Chairman Igor Terekhov.

According to him, the most noticeable was the massive breaking of windows – 5,699 units, or 15% of all broken windows this year.

“All these windows are already covered with OSB boards so that people can stay in their homes. But this is a temporary measure – full glazing is necessary, especially in winter, and we are moving in this direction. We work with both international partners and people directly, helping them. By the way, this program is important not only for replacing windows. It makes it possible to receive compensation for other damage to apartments – doors, walls, ceilings, etc. And those residents whose houses are completely destroyed can apply for certificates from the state to purchase new housing. We are supporting this process, explaining to people the algorithm of actions and helping with documents,” the chairman said.

Terekhov added that 27 roofs were also repaired during November.

“Our utility workers worked at each affected address, we involved special equipment, and wherever possible, volunteers joined in. Without their participation, the work would have progressed much more slowly – the workload is now enormous. International funds and humanitarian organizations also support us with resources, equipment, and materials. In the current conditions, this assistance is becoming critically important,” he concluded.
