
On the night of December 2, Russian troops attacked the south of Odessa region with attack drones. The Russians again targeted civilian and energy infrastructure.
The head of the Odessa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper, reported on the consequences of the attack.
The debris damaged an energy facility, an administrative building, and the glazing of about 10 private homes nearby. There was no information about the dead or injured.
Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire.
The Izmail District State Administration clarified that after the night attack, part of the Safyanivska community and the city of Izmail remained without electricity. Critical infrastructure was temporarily switched to work from generators.
According to DTEK, 8,000 families managed to reconnect to backup schemes. Another 36,000 are temporarily without electricity.
11 points of invincibility have been deployed to help the population.
Power engineers are working in an intensified mode to restore electricity as soon as possible. As of 10:20 a.m., residents of the Izmail and Safyaniv communities are receiving electricity in turn.
As of 11:47 a.m., DTEK announced that in order to stabilize the networks, the same areas of Izmail and Safyaniv communities that were left without electricity at night will be temporarily cut off until the end of daylight: Larzhanka, Nova Nekrasivka, Kalanchak, Bagate, Ozerne, Kamyanka, and Safyany.
