Pyatikhatki railway station damaged by Russian drone attack

On the night of December 15, Russian drones hit the railway junction in Pyatikhatki in the Dnipropetrovsk region, seriously damaging the station building.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, passengers and railway employees were not injured, and trains were kept at a safe distance from the affected area during the alarm.

The chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia JSC, Oleksandr Pertsovsky, stressed that the Russians are trying to disrupt the work of the railway, but they cannot stop it completely.

He thanked the railway workers and repair crews for their quick response and emphasized that the team is working to reduce delays.

The consequences of the attack are visible both outside and inside the station: the facade was significantly damaged, and debris and broken glass remained around the tracks.

The waiting room was the most damaged – the blast wave blew out windows and doors and damaged furniture. In the photos published by Ukrzaliznytsia, overturned benches and destroyed elements inside the building are visible.
