It is currently impossible to restore stable operation of the Kherson CHP. The reason is daily shelling by the Russian army, which constantly damages already repaired equipment.
This was reported by the deputy head of the Kherson regional military administration, Alexander Tolokonnikov.
According to him, specialists are continuously working on restoring the CHP, but due to regular attacks, it is not possible to achieve a sustainable result. As a result, houses that should receive heat from the CHP remain without heating.
At the same time, the city and regional authorities are looking for alternative ways to provide heat. Some houses are trying to connect to other sources of heat supply. Also, heat generators and heaters are being distributed to residents whose homes do not have heat.
The regional military administration notes that the situation remains difficult, but work is ongoing to ensure that people have heat in the winter.
The Kherson thermal power plant has stopped working due to damage caused by Russian shelling. Despite protective measures, the buildings and equipment of the station have suffered very serious damage.
