On December 28, Russian troops launched a massive shelling of Kherson, injuring a woman.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
According to the State Emergency Service, fires broke out in one of the districts of the city due to Russian strikes. The fire engulfed private residential buildings, a balcony on the fifth floor of a multi-storey building, a garage and a car.
Rescuers from the State Emergency Service quickly arrived at the sites of the hits and began eliminating the consequences of the shelling.
The head of the Kherson city military administration, Yaroslav Shanko, noted that Russian troops again attacked the city using multiple launch rocket systems.
“Russian troops again launched a massive strike on the city with MLRS. Residential areas and critical infrastructure were covered in fire. We are currently clarifying information about the victims,” he said.
As a result of the attack, part of Kherson was left without electricity.
Specialists are currently assessing the extent of damage to the energy infrastructure and plan to begin emergency restoration work taking into account the security situation.
