As a result of another drone attack by Russian troops on the Dnieper, the Bunge plant was seriously damaged. 300 tons of vegetable oil spilled onto the roads.
As a result of the shelling of the Dnieper by Russian troops on January 5, the Bunge oil extraction plant was seriously damaged.
This was reported by Chairman Boris Filatov: “The Russians bombed American property, because the plant belongs to the Bunge company from St. Louis, Missouri. As a result of the drone attack, 300 tons of oil spilled onto the roads of the Dnieper! Municipal workers are cleaning it up, throwing sand and a mixture, but travel along the Embankment will be impossible for about two to three days.”
Bunge is the manufacturer of the Oleyna brand, one of the most popular brands of bottled sunflower oil in Ukraine.
It is worth noting that numerous Telegram channels report a second strike on the territory of the Bunge plant, which occurred in the afternoon, when work was underway at the facility to eliminate the consequences of the morning arrival and clear the rubble.
During the second explosion, rescuers and representatives of municipal services were on the territory of the enterprise, trying to localize the oil leak and clear the area.
There is currently no official information about the injuries among employees or rescuers.
