In the Odesa region, Russia again attacked civilian foreign ships

On January 12, a Russian UAV hit a tanker under the Panamanian flag, which was waiting to enter the port to load vegetable oil. This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

Unfortunately, one crew member was injured. He is currently being provided with the necessary assistance. Marine rescue services are already on site, the fire on board is being extinguished.

There was also an attack on a vessel under the San Marino flag, which was leaving the port with a cargo of corn. Fortunately, there were no casualties, the vessel continues to move.

“This is another proof that Russia is deliberately attacking civilian ships, international trade and maritime safety.

Despite the constant terror from Russia, Ukraine continues to operate ports and fulfill its international obligations,” commented Oleksiy Kuleba.
