It is impossible to restore communication in frontline settlements in the Donetsk region

It is impossible to restore communication in a number of frontline settlements in the Donetsk region. This complicates coordination during evacuation from the region.

Pavlo Dyachenko, head of the communications department of the National Police in the Donetsk region, spoke about the situation with the evacuation in the region: “This is such a big problem. But we all understand perfectly well that restoring communication in frontline settlements is simply impossible. Despite all efforts, when there is heavy shelling from the regional military administration, from locals, to establish communications, to restore something, well, when the moment comes when it is simply impossible to do it. And that is why the situation is so critical, so difficult.”

The lack of communication complicates coordination during the evacuation, noted the head of the communications department of the National Police in the Donetsk region: “And there are cases when we even learn about the need to evacuate from people, when someone came out, someone left and said that there are people there and they want to leave or they need some help. That is, we simply learn information from one person to another, from one person to another, that’s how we even learn information.”
