In the occupied Genichesk district, a Russian “court” passed a sentence on a local resident, accusing him of so-called “public calls for extremist activity” on the Internet.
This was reported in Russian media.
According to the version of Russian law enforcement agencies, a 56-year-old man allegedly published messages on social networks in April-May 2024 with calls for violent actions on an ethnic basis.
The Russian “Genichesk district court” sentenced the man to two years and six months in prison. According to Russian structures, he will serve his sentence in a penal colony.
We will remind you that in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, Russia applies its own criminal legislation, which is a violation of international humanitarian law. Such “sentences” are often used as a tool to pressure and harass local residents for their online statements.
