Miners stuck underground due to power outages due to Russian attacks in Kryvyi Rih

On January 22, miners were stuck underground due to power outages due to Russian attacks at one of the mining enterprises in Kryvyi Rih.

This was reported by the press service of the mining rescue units.

The probable cause of the emergency power outage was attacks by enemy kamikaze drones on the city’s energy infrastructure, in particular substations.

After the power outage, units of the State Paramilitary Mining Rescue Unit of the State Emergency Service were immediately involved in the work, which began to evacuate workers. The miners will be brought to the surface on foot in accordance with safety instructions.

Currently, stable communication has been established with all miners. According to rescuers, there is no panic among people, the situation is under control of specialists. The rescue operation is ongoing.
