
On the night of January 24-25, Russian UAVs were recorded over Bukovina, after which residents of Chernivtsi reported the sounds of explosions.
During the air alert over the territory of Chernivtsi region, Russian drones were recorded. Residents of Chernivtsi, in particular the Sadhora district, were urged to immediately take shelter and remain there until the alarm was lifted.
This was reported by the head of the Chernivtsi regional military administration, Ruslan Osypenko.
The head of the regional military administration reported on Russian air targets over Bukovina and reminded of the ban on filming the work of air defense forces and distributing such materials on social networks.
At the same time, local residents write in Telegram channels and social networks that the first sounds of explosions in Chernivtsi were heard at approximately 23:30, and the second explosion – after 00:00. It is preliminary assumed that the air defense forces could have shot down a Russian drone, but there is currently no official confirmation of this information.
In the event of discovering debris from downed Russian objects, citizens are asked not to approach them and immediately notify the police and the State Emergency Service.
Russian UAVs approached from various directions, in particular, the movement of drones was recorded over Chernivtsi, in the Sadhor district. Particular attention was focused on the districts of Zastavna, Kitsman, Chernivtsi and nearby communities. Patrols, which were the first to arrive at the scene, provided assistance to the wounded and evacuated residents together with their pets. In the territory of the Storozhynetsk community, a residential building and a car were damaged as a result of the UAV hit. However, fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries.
