On January 25, during another shelling of Mykolaiv, Russian troops targeted the city’s energy infrastructure.
This was reported by Mykolaivoblenergo.
An employee of the Mykolaivoblenergo enterprise was injured as a result of the attack. Electrician Volodymyr received shrapnel wounds to his limbs and was urgently taken to the hospital.
Medics are providing him with all necessary assistance, the man’s condition is stable.
The explosions also significantly damaged the company’s energy equipment. Workers have already begun emergency restoration work to restore the electricity supply.
Despite the danger of repeated shelling, energy workers continue to work at the affected sites.
Mykolaivoblenergo emphasized that the work of energy workers in wartime is not only about repairing lines or substations, but also a daily risk to life. They go into the shelling zone to provide light to thousands of homes and hospitals.
“The workers perform their duty even when explosions are heard nearby. Their courage is an example of true professionalism and civic responsibility,” the company said.
