
As a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the educational infrastructure of Odesa has suffered significant damage.
Shelling and missile strikes have led to damage to general secondary and preschool education institutions. The consequences of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation for Odesa schools and kindergartens are enormous.
As noted by the head of the city Department of Education and Science, Yulia Filler, 49 facilities have been damaged during the full-scale war. Some of them have been damaged repeatedly.
Statistics; 2022: 3 educational institutions; 2023: 26 institutions; 2024: 11 institutions, including the Perlynka orphanage; 2025: 14 institutions, including the Inclusive Resource Center No. 1; 2026: already 3 institutions.
The restoration was carried out with funds from the budget of the Odesa city territorial community, as well as international partners.
Night drone strike on Odesa: infrastructure facility damaged
On the night of January 28-29, the city of Odesa was attacked by strike drones. According to preliminary data, an important infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of the Russian attack. As reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration, a fire broke out at an industrial enterprise as a result of the strike.
The fire engulfed the warehouses and production workshops of the plant. Information about the further consequences of the incident is being clarified. Work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the fire.
