Plenipotentiary of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Lubinets said:
Regarding the question of civilian hostages, who were detained en masse by the Russian Federation and are being detained in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, we have no information at all, where they are, in what condition. I can name the number of citizens of Ukraine who officially contacted me to help them establish the whereabouts of civilians detained by the Russian Federation. This number is more than 20 thousand!
The Russian invaders blocked the passes to the occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant for workers who did not sign a labor contract with the occupation authorities.
In this way, the occupiers continue to exert moral, psychological and physical pressure on the local population.
In addition, the workers who were forced to sign the contract were given a pay cut, citing the fact that the station was not working.
According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian occupiers forced about 3,000 workers of the Zaporizhzhіa NPP to obtain Russian passports.
This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Saturday, January 7.
It is noted that the invaders continue to put psychological and physical pressure on the civilian population of the temporarily occupied territories, in particular on the residents of Energodar, Zaporizhzhia region, where the ZNPP is located.
The General Staff also added that the occupiers took the Ukrainian hryvnia out of circulation in the city, while the enemy threatened entrepreneurs with fines and confiscation of property. Also, in Energodar, the number of residential premises seized by the occupiers and abandoned by forced migrants has increased significantly.
At the beginning of December, Energoatom announced the strengthening of Russian repression against workers of the Zaporizhzhіa NPP. In particular, the occupiers brutally beat two employees of the station, after which they took them to an unknown direction.
The occupiers exert moral pressure on Zaporizhzhia NPP workers, – General Staff
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published information about the situation at the occupied ZNPP,
This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
The message states: “The occupiers continue to exert moral, psychological and physical pressure on the local population. For example, workers of the Zaporizhzhіa NPP who did not sign a labor contract with the occupiers were blocked from passing through the station, and workers who were forced to sign a contract were announced to have their wages reduced pay, motivating it by the fact that the station is not working.”
He should definitely be punished: the role of “Rosatom” in the occupation of the ZNPP became known
The state corporation “Rosatom” actively participates in the war against Ukraine, interfering with the operation of the captured Zaporizhzhіa NPP in Energodar.
Rosatom employees directly participate in armed aggression against Ukraine. After the Zaporizhzhіa NPP in Energodar was seized by Russian troops, the corporation’s specialists not only intervened in the operation of the nuclear plant, but also planned further combat operations on this part of the front.
Oleg Dudar, the ex-chief engineer of the facility, previously testified and claimed that Rosatom employees helped the Russian Armed Forces prepare shelling of the plant’s equipment in order to disconnect the ZNРP from the Ukrainian power system.
“They studied electrical circuits, power lines, our equipment and communication systems. They studied them thoroughly for a week. And the next week the objects under study were fired upon and the equipment was disabled. I got the impression that they managed and guided,” Oleg Dudar’s testimony says.
Expert Olga Kosharna claims that representatives of Rosatom interfere in the work of the Zaporizhzhіa NPP, and also authorize the placement of military equipment of the Russian Armed Forces on the territory of production facilities. According to her, the actions of the Russians pose a danger not only for Ukraine, but also for all neighboring countries.
Serhii Denysenko, the head of the Public Council under the State Nuclear Regulation Inspection of Ukraine, said in a comment to “Apostrophe” that the behavior of Rosatom employees and military personnel who are on the territory of the ZNPP can be qualified as nuclear terrorism.
“And the Russian army would not have dared to take any of these actions without the consent and consultation of Rosatom employees. That is why he should definitely be punished as an organizer and participant in the nuclear blackmail of the whole world,” Denysenko added in a conversation with journalists.
Nuclear workers will be able to go on vacation when they have worked at Rosatom for at least a year.
The occupying management of the Zaporizhzhia NPP violates the terms of the contracts signed by the station’s workers with Rosatom. Atomic workers, who would side with the occupiers and sign a contract with them, were promised to keep their seniority and vacations. However, in fact it turned out that the employees of the station are not given vacations. They will be allowed to rest no earlier than a year after concluding the contract. This is reported by “Energoatom”.
It should be noted that earlier Rosatom promised to give employees a vacation after six months. Now they are promised rest in a year.
Employees of the Zaporizhzhіa NPP are once again urged not to sign any contracts with the Russians, so as not to become direct aids of the aggressor and destroy their own future.
We will remind that the Russians continue active passporting of residents of the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region. The occupation authorities have already set a deadline by which all local residents must issue Russian passports. Those who do not issue a Russian passport face punishment. Housing, transport and property will be taken from them.
