
During January 31, law enforcement officers recorded the consequences of Russian shelling in the Sumy region. 28 settlements in the territorial communities of Sumy, Shostka, Okhtyrsky, Konotopskyі and Romenskyі districts were under fire.
A 68-year-old man was injured as a result of the shelling. Damage to civilian and industrial infrastructure was also recorded: about 20 private households, utility and warehouse premises, administrative buildings and vehicles.
Police officers worked at the scene, documented the damage and collected materials for further legal assessment.
Criminal proceedings were opened under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for all facts of the Russian attacks.
