Night attack on Cherkasy region: 4 injured, fires and power outages in four regions

On the night of February 2, Cherkasy and the region were subjected to a massive attack by Russian drones. As a result of the shelling, 4 people were injured, 3 of whom were hospitalized. During the attack, fires broke out at several addresses, including residential buildings, cars, a private enterprise building and garages. A gas station and vehicles were also damaged.

Rescuers quickly extinguished all fires, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service worked at the scene to provide support to the victims. In addition, the attacks by the Russian army led to power outages for consumers in several regions, including Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy. Restoration work is currently underway on damaged energy facilities.

This attack is part of Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine, which has resulted in numerous civilian casualties and significant infrastructure damage. Restoring power supply and eliminating the consequences of the attacks remain a priority for local authorities and emergency services, as ensuring the safety and comfortable living conditions of citizens is critically important in a military conflict.
