Russian attacks on Sumy region: people injured and damage in 15 communities

Russian attacks on Sumy region on February 2-3 resulted in people injured and infrastructure damaged in 15 communities. Four people were injured as a result of shelling recorded in various communities of Sumy region. The damage affected: private residential buildings; commercial and industrial premises; administrative buildings; social infrastructure facilities; vehicles and power lines.

In Sumy, a hit by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) caused a fire and smoke in two multi-storey buildings, where balconies and windows were damaged. In total, strikes on apartment buildings in Sumy community were recorded twice. In particular, a hit was also recorded in the Zarechny district of the city of Sumy.

On the night of February 3, Russian troops attacked Konotop, damaging a children’s school, private homes, and infrastructure. On February 2, law enforcement officers recorded the effects of shelling in 15 territorial communities of Sumy region. Police worked at the scene and documented damage to civilian infrastructure, the National Police reported.
