
On the night of February 8, Russian troops attacked Kherson with multiple rocket launchers, as a result of which six civilians were injured.
In the morning, the Russians opened fire on the city again, increasing the number of injured.
The consequences of the shelling were reported in the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
After 23:00 on February 7, Russian troops attacked Kherson several times with MLRS in residential areas of the Central and Korabelny districts of the city.
As of the morning, eight victims were known – women aged from 44 to 86.
Some of the victims were provided with medical assistance on the spot. The people were diagnosed with concussions, explosive injuries and closed craniocerebral injuries.
Three of the injured were hospitalized. In particular, a 68-year-old woman suffered burns to her arms, legs and respiratory tract, while another victim, an 86-year-old woman, suffered contusions and shrapnel wounds.
In the morning, Russian troops again shelled the city, as a result of which another person was injured.
The attack resulted in large-scale fires and significant destruction, private residential buildings, non-residential and warehouse buildings, a garage and an apartment building caught fire, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
During the liquidation of the consequences of the shelling, rescuers worked at several addresses. In the conditions of a difficult security situation, they conducted search and rescue operations in damaged buildings.
