Minus 20% of rolling stock and hundreds of broken windows: consequences of Russian attack on trolleybus depot in Dnipro

Broken windows and millions in damages: in Dnipro, the number of damaged vehicles was calculated after a night strike on a trolleybus depot.

On the night of February 7, the Russian attack on the city of Dnipro damaged, among others, the trolleybus depot. Trolleybuses, production and administrative premises were damaged. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

The informant visited the scene of the attack and showed what the consequences of the attack look like.

In total, 18 passenger and one service trolleybus were damaged, as well as other vehicles. Among them are four new low-floor trolleybuses, the windshield or side windows of which were broken. About 90 windows in vehicles were also broken and about 100 more in the depot premises, two service cars were damaged. According to the head of the trolleybus depot, Oleksandr Dvornychenko, preliminary damage is estimated at millions of hryvnias.

The estimated time for full restoration of the damaged trolleybuses is about three months. At the same time, two or three trolleybuses are planned to be repaired by February 9 so that they can return to the routes. Work to eliminate the consequences of the attack is ongoing.
