Russian troops carried out another attack with suicide drones on Odesa, which led to tragic consequences and destruction of civilian infrastructure. As a result of Russian shelling in the city, hits were recorded in residential areas, which caused large-scale fires and damage to communications in several areas, as well as the death of a civilian. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Sergey Lysak.
According to Lysak, high-rise buildings and life support facilities of the city were hit. In one of the districts, a fire broke out on the roof of a high-rise building due to a “shaheed” hit, and a gas pipeline was also seriously damaged, forcing the services to urgently shut down the supply. In addition, the blast wave and fire destroyed several cars and damaged a non-residential building.
Units of the State Emergency Service, emergency gas service crews and utility workers are working at the scene.
The Russian attack did not pass without casualties among the civilian population. The head of the regional military administration Lysak officially confirmed the death of one person as a result of the night shelling.
