A rescuer of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine died while eliminating the consequences of the Russian strike in the Kyiv region

Chief master sergeant of the civil defense service Mykhailo Protsenko died while performing his duties in the Kyiv region.

The death of the rescuer was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to the department, Mykhailo Protsenko had been working at the facility destroyed by the Russian strike in the Kyiv region since the night of February 7. During emergency rescue operations, a collapse of structures occurred, as a result of which the rescuer died. His colleague was seriously injured and is currently in hospital.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the deceased had the rank of chief master sergeant of the civil defense service and was performing tasks to eliminate the consequences of the enemy attack.

I express my sincere condolences to the family, relatives and colleagues of the deceased. This is an irreparable loss for the large family of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the entire country,” the department noted.

It is also reported that during the day, the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine were involved in work at seven difficult locations that were hit by the Russian Federation.
