Poltava region under attack: Russians again strike Naftogaz facilities

On February 9, Russian troops continued targeted strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Naftogaz Group facilities have been under attack for the second day in a row.

According to the company’s press service, over the past day, the Russians have attacked production assets in the Poltava region. Enterprises in the Sumy region have also been subjected to new attacks, where the attacks are still ongoing.

The attacks damaged and destroyed equipment, but, according to preliminary data, there are no casualties among the personnel.

The State Emergency Service and all relevant services are working on the scene. After the security situation stabilizes, our specialists will begin to eliminate the consequences of the attack,” said Serhiy Koretskyі, Chairman of the Board of the National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine. The company notes that the attacks are taking place systematically: this is the 20th attack on Naftogaz facilities since the beginning of the year.
