Over 95,000 people left without electricity due to Russian strikes on Odesa region

On the night of February 10, the South of Odesa region was subjected to a massive attack by the Russian Federation, as a result of which 42 settlements were left without electricity.

This is what the head of the Odesa regional military administration wrote.

The most critical situation was recorded in the city of Kiliya, where, due to the lack of electricity, over 200 houses, inhabited by 9,000 people, were left without gas and centralized heating. Since the heating in these homes depends exclusively on electricity, thousands of residents found themselves in cold rooms.

To overcome the consequences of the shelling, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine sent 7 powerful generators to the affected areas to support critical infrastructure, 8 heat guns and 5 field kitchens. 10 additional assistance points are also being deployed. “Invincibility points” are already operating in each district, equipped with backup power and heating facilities for the population.

Power engineers and emergency services are carrying out restoration work around the clock to restore power supply as soon as possible.

We would like to remind you that Russian troops attacked the energy infrastructure of the Izmail district of the Odesa region. As a result of the strike, several communities were left without electricity.
