Russia attacked the railway infrastructure of the Odesa region

On February 15, the Russian army struck the civilian railway infrastructure of the Odesa region with drones. A large-scale fire broke out there and a tank car caught fire.

This was reported by the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.

According to him, the attack damaged buildings on the territory of the depot. A large-scale fire broke out on the territory – a tank car caught fire.

Kuleba said that all specialized emergency services were working to eliminate the consequences. As of now, the fire has been eliminated.

The minister emphasized that the railway workers were in shelters and were not injured.

“Russia is systematically attacking the logistics of Ukraine. These are not military targets – this is an attempt to paralyze the economy of the region. Railway workers, rescuers, and energy workers continue to eliminate the consequences of the strike,” the minister emphasized.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, more than 4,700 strikes on Ukrzaliznytsia facilities have been recorded. 24,000 railway infrastructure facilities and 686 port facilities have also been damaged or destroyed.
