Attack on Kyiv region: 5 districts hit, one dead and injured

The Russian army launched a missile and drone attack on Kyiv region on February 22.

This was reported by the head of the Kyiv regional military administration, Ruslan Kalashnyk, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to the regional authorities, the night was restless for Kyiv region – the Russians carried out another massive missile and drone attack on peaceful settlements and critical infrastructure facilities.

As of the morning of February 22, the consequences of the Russian strike were recorded in the Obukhiv, Brovary, Boryspil, Buchan and Fastiv districts of the region.

In the village of Putrivka, Fastiv district, private houses were destroyed as a result of the shelling. Rescuers pulled eight people from the rubble, including a child.

Unfortunately, a 49-year-old man died during transportation to the hospital.

This is another life cut short, another family that lost a loved one due to the treachery and cruelty of the Russians. It is difficult to find words when peaceful people die. I express my sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. The Russians will definitely be held accountable for every life lost, — Ruslan Kalashnik emphasized.

Five people were taken to a medical facility, including the deceased man.

Four victims are receiving necessary assistance. Three are in serious condition, two of them are in the operating room, and another is receiving assistance in the emergency room. In total, 15 people were injured as a result of the attack on the Kyiv region on February 22, including four children.

A private residential building was damaged in the Boryspil district, a woman was injured by glass fragments — she is receiving necessary medical assistance. A fire also broke out in an outbuilding on the farm, the fire was localized.

In the Brovary district, a garage cooperative was damaged. The fire that broke out after the attack was extinguished.

In the Buchanan district, damage was recorded to two private houses and a car.

In the Obukhiv district, warehouses and a private residential building were damaged.

Currently, all emergency services are working on the ground, the consequences of the attack are being eliminated and the damage is being recorded, and the victims are being provided with all necessary assistance.
