An explosion occurred in the center of Kherson: seven employees of a municipal enterprise were injured

On February 24, a 60-year-old employee of a municipal enterprise of the Kherson City Council was taken to one of the city hospitals in serious condition in Kherson.

As reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration, an unknown object exploded while working in the city center. As a result, the man received an explosive injury and a shrapnel wound to the abdominal cavity. Doctors are fighting for his life.

Six more employees of one of the municipal enterprises of the city council were also taken to the hospital – women aged 31, 42 and 53 and men aged 51, 54 and 62. Doctors diagnosed them with explosive injuries, concussions and acute stress reactions.

Doctors are providing all the victims with the necessary medical care.

According to preliminary information, the driver and employees were injured while loading garbage on Staroobryadnytska Street.

A water utility worker died on his birthday due to a Russian attack on Kherson

On February 24, Russian troops repeatedly struck Kherson and the region. As a result of one of the strikes, a worker of the Kherson water utility’s drainage service, Oleksandr Baranov, was killed.

This was reported by the head of the city’s military administration, Yaroslav Shanko, and the Kherson water utility.

At about 9:00 a.m., a Russian drone attacked a facility of one of the Kherson City Council’s municipal enterprises. As a result, on his 62nd birthday, the utility worker suffered injuries incompatible with life while performing his professional duties.

The water utility said that the deceased, Oleksandr Baranov, worked as a pump operator at the sewage pumping station operation section.
