
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in Donetsk region due to the actions of the Russian army, 4,681 civilians have died. This was reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor’s office.
The department said that since February 24, 2022, prosecutors have documented 65,540 facts of war crimes committed by Russians.
Thus, from February 24, 2022 to February 24, 2026, Russians killed 4,861 civilians. Another 8,983 civilians were wounded and injured.
During the four years of full-scale war, Russians destroyed or damaged 78,953 civilian objects, using various types of weapons.
The Ukrainian prosecutor’s office said that 49 people were reported for war crimes. Indictments were sent to court for 35 of them. Two more war criminals were convicted in absentia.
The international organization AOAV stated that in 2025 the number of victims of Russian shelling increased by 26%. On average, 4.8 civilians were killed or injured as a result of each Russian shelling.
