Russian security forces in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia announced the completion of the so-called “investigation” against a 53-year-old resident of the temporarily occupied Energodar.
According to the version of the “Investigative Committee” controlled by Russia, the woman is accused of “public calls for extremist activity” due to comments left in one of the Telegram channels.
The Russians claim that back in 2022, while at home, she allegedly published text messages that, in their opinion, contained “signs of hostile actions” against the Russian military. At the same time, no independent evidence or context for these messages is provided, and the fact of persecution itself is actually reduced to statements on the Internet.
According to Russian law enforcement agencies, the woman was detained by FSB officers, after which a criminal case was opened against her. The Russians claim that she allegedly “fully admitted her guilt,” but in such cases such confessions are often obtained under pressure and without access to independent defense.
According to Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the woman could face up to 5 years in prison.
