On the evening of February 28, the Russian army attacked Mykolaiv with “shaheeds”. As a result, residential buildings, roofs and windows were damaged. As a result of the attack, a local resident suffered an acute stress reaction.
According to local resident Valentina, her family was at home at the time of the explosion.
“We heard an explosion, windows flew out, everything flew out. We were very scared, everyone ran out into the yard. We looked to see where everything was burning in our house,” the woman says.
“On March 1, all the services arrived in the morning, they did everything they needed: they boarded up the windows and checked the roof, they sheathed the roofs of the neighbors, because theirs was very damaged.”
A cultural institution was also damaged, said the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitaly Kim.
There were no deaths or injuries, says the deputy chairman, Vitaly Lukov.
“The district administration is currently helping people with submitting applications. We would like to thank, by the way, both the public organizations and their lawyers, who actually fill out these applications with people. And our commission is examining the extent of the damage as quickly as possible so that people can receive compensation from the state as soon as possible,” the official says.
