
The Kremlin reported on March 3 about a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
The information was published on the official website of the Russian side.
According to the report, the main topic of discussion was the sharp aggravation of the situation around Iran and the Middle East in general, in particular the possible consequences for the global energy market.
Separately, the interlocutors touched on the issue of war against Ukraine. The Kremlin stated that Putin noted the position of the Hungarian leadership, which advocates a political and diplomatic settlement of the conflict and declares its desire for a “balanced and sovereign” course in international affairs.
Also, according to the Russian side, the situation with Hungarian citizens mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and those held in Russian captivity was discussed during the conversation.
