
As a result of the night attack on March 17, energy, industrial and port infrastructure facilities were damaged in the south of Odesa region.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa regional military administration, Oleg Kiper.
The territories of enterprises and some equipment were damaged. Fires broke out on the ground, which were quickly extinguished by rescuers. Fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries.
In connection with the attack, power outages are observed in some settlements. Critical infrastructure has been switched to backup power.
Law enforcement officers are documenting the consequences of the shelling, in particular damage to infrastructure and private houses. Roofs, facades and windows of houses were destroyed. There are no victims or injured. A pre-trial investigation into the fact of war crimes has been launched.
Izmail chairman Andriy Abramchenko reported that both infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged in the city. Currently, municipal services and emergency units are working to eliminate the consequences of the attack and assess the damage.
Restoration work is ongoing in the region, and assistance points for residents have also been deployed.
